Industrial demand makes Copper, Nickel recover

Industrial metals (Copper, Nickel) regained higher strength due to increasing demand from consuming industries.

Due to increasing demand from consuming industrial selected base metals, copper and Nickel revive strength to trade higher upto Rs 10 per Kg in the wholesale local non-ferrous metals market today. However, weak trend in Asia on Japan's weaker-than-expected factory data, restricted gains.

In the national capital, copper wire scrap, copper wire bar and coppermixed scrap were up by Rs 3 each to Rs 364, Rs 383 and Rs 347 per kg,respectively. Nickel plate 4x4 traded Rs 10 higher at Rs 900-1,014  per kg, respectively on the back of pick up in demand from alloy makers.

Following were today's quotations in Rs per kg:

Tin ingot 795, zinc ingot 127.00, nickelplate (4x4) 900-1,014, gun metal scrap 226 bell metal scrap 228, copper wire scrap 364, copper wire bar 383, copper mixed scrap 343.00, Utensil scrap 224, Chadripital 175.

Leadingot 125, lead imported 128, aluminium ingots 102, sheet cutting 103,aluminium wire scrap 100 and aluminium utensils scrap 100.
