Two metals orders total nearly $40M, Harsco says

Industrial-services provider Harsco Corp. said Tuesday that its metals business has won two new orders totaling nearly $40 million. Also it got a 5-year contract for slag handling and scrap recovery at the Severstal Warren steel mill in Ohio, which had been shut down for nearly two years until resume production in March.

Harsco said it will also process more than a million tons of stockpiled blast furnace slag in Utah over the next three years for use in bridge and highway construction. The material was left at the former Geneva Steel mill in Vineyard, Utah.

Shares of Harsco fell 56 cents to $26.65 in afternoon trading.
