A theft that has given black eye for metal scrap trading –

The Nigerian police have arrested 17 Indians, out of which four have been accused before the court for trying to export scrap metals illegally. They were caught red handed at Apapa Quay in Lagos, the largest container terminal in Africa while trying to export four containers of metal scraps.

The names of the accused are as follows –
Vikas Das,
Naresh Gupta,
Dharmin Bhatt and
Nilesh Modi

Das owns “Everest Metal Nigeria Limited”, and the other three are said to be the directors. It is assumed that the above said company owns the consignment as well. The accused had to provide $19,000 bond and a surety sum of $19,000 each before the bail was granted.

$465,000 valued containers with metal scrap was marinated in mud by the accused, to pretense it as ordinary dirt. But, the wise trick finally ended up as a flop show.
