ISRI Code PARCH, Manganese Bronze Solids shall have a copper content of not less than 55%, a lead content of not more than 1%, and shall be free of aluminum bronze and silicon bronze.

Manganese Bronze Scrap is a type of brass that is chocolate brown in color. Manganese Bronze Scrap alloyed with 55% copper, 35% zinc, 1% lead, and remaining manganese. Solids shall be unmixed and have less than 0.2% alloyed tin or as agreed between buyer and seller.  Manganese Bronze scrap shall be free of iron, excessive dirt, corrosion and any other foreign material

Should be free of the following: Excessively leaded, tinned, soldered or unsoldered, high-lead alloys; brasses and bronzes; excessive oil content, aluminum and silicon bronzes. iron and non-metallic; Aluminum bronze solids with other than brass connections or with sediment; must also be free of foreign substances, iron rimmed material and other metals; should be reasonably free of ash; free of Muntz metal and naval brass.
